Can I Have Healthier Hair?
There are lots of things you can do to help your hair be healthier. And some of them won’t even cost a penny. Check out these tips that you can start implementing today.
Get Regular Haircuts
It may sound basic, but it’s true! Regular trims will keep split ends in check and give you shinier locks. Make an appointment to see your hairstylist every six to eight weeks depending on how fast your hair grows. You’ll see a difference right away.
Think About What You Eat
Keto, paleo, vegan or instant pot – no matter what diet you follow, protein is important. Protein is a building block for your hair, but when it’s in short supply your body will use it everywhere else before it gets to your hair. Make sure there’s plenty to go around by getting an adequate supply every day.
And don’t forget the iron! It is an essential mineral for your hair that often gets overlooked. Spinach, lentils, broccoli and beef are great sources. We like it best in dark chocolate.
Stay Out of the Heat
Heat is hard on your hair. Try to minimize exposure to heating tools like hair dryers, flat and curling irons, etc. If you absolutely must used these, consider using a protective spray to reduce the effects the heat can have on your hair.
And heat can come from water too. Yes, that means cutting back on those hot, hot, hot showers! Even though it’s wet, the hot water will dry out your hair and cause damage to those precious locks.
